Primary Function
Responsible for entering, updating and maintaining Materials and Bills of Material within Lochinvar's PLM system. May be responsible for setting priorities and providing assistance to less experienced staff.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain material and Bill of Material structures based on input from
Engineering and Manufacturing as part of Engineering Change Process (PCP, ETO,
IMM, NPD and TLA). - Analyze drawings generated in our CAD Department when creating new materials
and BOMs in our PLM system. - Assists with drawing changes such as stamping instructions, minor spelling
discrepencies and title block adjustments. - Check accuracy of bills of material prior to the submittal to Engineer for review.
- Have a clear understanding of policies and procedures within the department for
assigning part numbers, redlining bills of material, revising drawings while utilizing
Lochinvar’s PLM system. - Verify consistency of material master descriptions and drawing descriptions, in
accordance with policy and procedures on processes. - Participate in auditing units in Manufacturing to verify both BOM's and Manufacturing
build accuracy, communicate inconsistencies to the department supervisor or Change
Analyst. - Track and manage active processes to ensure changes are implemented efficiently and
on time. Report on process status and escalate issues to the organization as needed. - Must work well both independently and in a team environment. Must be a self-starter
who is able to handle multiple priorities at one time and remain results-oriented. Must
be able to provide ERP system related guidance to multiple departments after training. - Must have interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all personnel levels,
both inside and outside the company. Ability to handle difficult situations tactfully. - Understands and demonstrates Lochinvar’s safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous ERP, PLM, and SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Lochinvar product knowledge not required, but a plus.
- Must have strong administrative skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Two or more years of BOM experience.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as, Change Requests, Red lines, and regulations as well as departmental procedures.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- Possess the ability to apply basic mathematical concepts.
- Possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. However, when conducting line verifications on the production floor, noise levels can be loud. Eye and ear protection equipment will be provided.
