Primary Function

The Payroll Coordinator will work with various locations and departments to process full-cycle payroll for company employees and retirees. The incumbent will work in compliance with internal policies as well as Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.


  1. Prepare and process monthly pension payroll, as well as weekly hourly and semi-monthly salaried payroll for U.S. employees
  2. Back up Senior Payroll Systems and Admin Specialist in validation and submission of periodic payroll tax reporting for employees and retirees
  3. Participate in testing and implementation of payroll and tax system updates
  4. Handle customer service calls from employees 
  5. Assist other areas of business by providing support, payroll reporting, and analysis
  6. Assist with completion of forms related to verification of employment and wage garnishments
  7. Support Kronos timekeeping system


  • Associate’s Degree or formal education in related disciplines preferred; HS Diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience required
  • Experience with SAP and Kronos Workforce Central Preferred
  • Knowledge of FLSA and other payroll regulations
  • Previous experience balancing and processing payroll
  • Payroll tax regulation and administration knowledge
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently or on a team as needed;  prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • Proficient in use of MS Office, especially MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written to employees and teammates at all levels
  • Maturity and discretion in handling highly confidential information
