Overview

We are looking for a HR Intern – Recruiting to join our Talent Acquisition team at A. O. Smith.  This position will be located on-site at our Milwaukee World Headquarters (11270 W Park Place, Milwaukee, WI).  This role is year-round and offered until graduation and requires a minimum of 12 hours/week during the school year and up to 40 hours/week during the summer.  The HR Intern - Manufacturing Recruiting would ideally start during the Summer of 2024 (May or June 2024).

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manufacturing Recruiting Team with recruiting (sourcing candidates, screening resumes, schedule interviews, monitoring background/drug screen status of candidates)
  • Support the Salaried Recruiting Team as needed
  • Be the Lead Recruiter on Internship/Co-op/Early Career/Entry-Level roles (including sourcing, screening, and interviewing)
  • Reconciling billing for our job board ads
  • Complete Talent Acquisition projects as assigned
  • Support the Corporate Training & Development team as needed

Qualifications

  • Graduate/undergraduate student in Human Resources preferred
  • Strong interest in learning recruiting as a future career path
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, able to work independently within a quiet office environment
  • Previous recruiting or human resources internship experience a plus but not required
