Primary Function

To continue providing this support, A. O. Smith is looking to add an HRIS Systems Analyst to our team. The Analyst will play a key role in developing and deploying our target state HRIS systems roadmap and supporting our history of innovation. Looking beyond the processes we have in place today, this role will search for opportunities to improve our business processes and directly lead the implementation  efforts. Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the SAP HCM Module with a focus on process enhancement activities including blueprinting, system configuration, master data updates, testing, training, and post-launch support. Clearly, document process changes and updates maps as required.
  • Ensure that all business applications are running on the latest technical release and directly support the execution of the end-to-end upgrade lifecycle. Assess release notes and make recommendations for optimization of our current processes.
  • Identify and support end-user training needs; facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and educate internal administrators and end-users on processes and overall application functionality
  • Manage the daily operations of the SAP HCM Module including activities such as monitoring interfaces and master data management. Work closely with the applications support partner to ensure the deliverables and SLAs are met for the open incidents and service requests.
  • Use knowledge and understanding of the integration between SAP and SuccessFactors and the future strategic direction of the application roadmap to identify future impacts/changes.
  • Configure ad hoc reports, create, and monitor scheduled jobs for audit reports, work with the development team for developing custom reports and automation to send files to 3rd party vendors.
  • Lead HCM conversion projects for acquisitions which include organizational design, data loads, collaboration with the security team, identifying modifications for interfaces, change management, and cutover activities.
  • Collaborate with other HRIS application support team members for Kronos & Global Success Factors.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technology-based work experience within HRIS SAP space
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years related work experience
  • Experience supporting SAP – HR/Payroll/Benefits systems/procedures.
  • Understanding of timekeeping & time evaluation process.
  • Experience with reporting and analyzing HR data.
  • Hands-on configuration experience and a good understanding of the integration between SAP and other HRIS applications.
  • Ability to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders representing HR functions and multiple levels.
  • Knowledgeable in current HR policies, practices, and ability to anticipate future trends affecting the business from a system and process perspective.
  • Interest to evolve from on-prem to cloud space and support the future state model as part of the global HRIS transformation.
  • Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and written.
