Based out of our World Headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this role is eligible to participate in our remote work program, which allows employees to work remotely up to two days per week.  New employees in eligible roles can apply for this program after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment.

What You Will Do

As the Human Resources Generalist, you will work primarily within the manufacturing side of our business, incumbent will design, implement and monitor a variety of human resources, safety and training programs and plan for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Lead recruitment efforts to fill open positions and effectively onboard new employees
  • Create and maintain personnel files through SAP, including new employee input, benefit elections, and status changes
  • Conduct verifications for all new hires and assist with company-wide employee verifications
  • Send alert lines to sites for investigation and write draft responses for review by legal and HR
  • Assist with annual projects in compensation and benefits department such as creating LTI agreements
  • Provide employee relations support as needed including counseling, coaching, issues resolution, and consistent policy administration
  • Act as process manager for Company recognition programs (Values Recognition, Presidents Safety, Excellence Safety, Chairman’s Green Star, Excellence in Quality, patent awards, and service awards)
  • Assist with hourly recruiting for all sites (may include hosting virtual career fairs, managing job postings, and implementing creative recruitment marketing solutions)
  • Work closely with compensation team to assist with hourly compensation requests
  • Provide onboarding support and system training for new HR hires across the Company
  • Manage receptionist workload and provide back-up to front desk as needed

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or another related discipline is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
