Primary Function
Responsible for preparing and analyzing various financial reports and statements as well as maintaining the integrity of all financial documents. Work to interpret the financial data to make appropriate recommendations to management about financial matters.
This role is eligible for a remote work schedule of up to two days remote work per week. New employees are eligible to apply after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment and training.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze various financial statements and reports.
- Research and generate financial forecasts, sales analyses, and other trends.
- Review and analyze “what if” scenarios for future business planning from the finance perspective.
- Analyze profit-and-loss income statements and prepare reports and recommendations to management.
- Prepare, review, and analyze research projects and analyses including budget, expenses, staffing, rates of return, sensitivity analysis, and financial projections.
- Perform and review month end closing procedures.
- Provide technical support to operating unit personnel relative to the submission of actual/forecast financial data to Corporate Headquarters.
- Prepare and review various schedules and analyses in support of both internal and external financial reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years related work experience
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze financial data and reports to identify financial impacts of the data
- Working knowledge of financial and accounting systems
- Experience with consolidation accounting and financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail and high organization skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook and Access
- Strong communication skills, both orally and written, especially communication of financial results and information
- Ability to work with and maintain the integrity of confidential information
- Ability to work independently and as a team to meet strict deadlines while balancing priorities
