This role is located in our modern Nashville Metro Center office, located just minutes from downtown with easy interstate access and free parking.

Position Summary

The Director of Business Systems is a senior leader in the information technology team having cross functional responsibilities for IT and Management as well as external partners in making sure that the information technology application landscape is fully operational, ensuring the solutions are efficient and effective and delivers enhanced value to the business overall. 

Primary Function

The Director of Business Systems ensures that the IT vision is synchronized with the company business directive and is the primary decision maker in ensuring that the applications solutions will be able to deliver on business objectives across the enterprise. Makes sure that all solutions are functioning for optimal business productivity.  Leads a team of decision makers, are responsible for building and maintaining the IT solutions framework. 


  • Develop and lead a technically adept, service and productivity-oriented team to deliver Business solutions across the following service areas: 
    1. Hire to Retire 
    2. Record to report 
    3. Customer Enablement (Quote to Cash) 
    4. Manufacturing & Supply Chain  
    5. Engineering Solutions (PLM) 
    6. Business analytics 
    7. 3rd Party Support Management & Overall Process integration 
  • Oversees the operations of all information systems, including the management of personnel, audit participation and approval, issue resolution, procedure, and change management. 
  • Responsible for user maintenance, training, maintaining system documentation, state and federal compliance. 
  • Collaborates with IT leadership and develops a strategy to meet business requirements in the most cost effective and efficient manner, balancing features, and functions with total cost of ownership across all areas, including Infrastructure & Operations, Security & Compliance, Program Management and Solutions Delivery. 
  • Drives the standardization of tools, products, and process documentation. 
  • Serves on internal teams to help improve processes and oversee large-scale, Global projects whose implementation, issues, or requests are more complex. 
  • Translates business requirements into application requirements.
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management. 
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.  

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field 
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in related field 
  • Minimum of 10 years of management responsibilities  
  • Extensive experience in deployment and management of Global SAP Environment, including SAP S/4, SAP HCM/Payroll and Employee Central modules. 

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience with companies that have successfully used IT as a business lever in driving optimization and change 
  • Possess leadership skills, demonstrating the importance of good decision making and strategic discipline through example  
  • Has prior experience in reorganization and transformation, including talent assessment and staff rationalization 
  • Prior experience leading technical and /or business project teams  
  • Well versed in PMI and ITIL processes and concepts 
  • Well versed in Lean and CI processes and concepts, Intellectual curiosity and knows the importance of the 5 Why’s 
  • Experience in developing and implementing performance measurement to ensure that the IT organization aligned with departmental KPIs.  
  • Ability to analyze issues and determine root cause and develop plan to resolve and build team capabilities to do the same 
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities 
  • An internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed.
