Senior SAP BW/BI Developer

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the Operations/Supply Chain, Sales, Finance and other business teams to define and document functional and technical specifications
• Design, develop, configure, transport, test and deploy SAP BW on HANA 7.x, BW4 data warehousing solutions that are pragmatic, robust and supportable
• Build ADSO’s, Composite providers, Open ODS, Transient providers, transformations, extractors, data sources and required ABAP, routines.
• Design and develop complex Bex queries, Web intelligence/CMC reports, dashboards to meet Operations/Supply Chain, Sales and Finance reporting requirements
• Adopt data modeling & data flow design best practices to develop robust & scalable solutions. Activate, Configure & Enhance Business Content Extractors
• Optimize reporting and data load performance
• Design and develop front-end analytics, reports and dashboards using SAP Business Objects (BOBJ/CMC), SAP Web Intelligence (WEBI), SAP Analysis for Office, and Tableau
• Work closely with offshore development team members by reviewing, allocating them to development projects, sustaining, production support activities and overseeing their work
• Lead high visibility analytics projects from start to finish

• Meeting with stakeholders, collaboratively developing project charters, gathering, and validating requirements
• Architecting and developing full-stack (front-end and back-end) solutions
• Reviewing functional and technical specifications, and solution designs, ensuring solution quality, and that designs are clearly documented.
• Ensuring all Change Approval Board (CAB) processes are followed
• Overseeing successful deployment of the solution including training of the stakeholders

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive SAP BW on HANA and/or BW4/HANA end to end development experience supporting Operations/Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance reporting in a global analytics (multi-country, multi-currency) environment
• 5+ years’ experience developing front-end Analytics using SAP Business Objects, SAP Analysis for Office, SAP Webi, Administering CMC and Tableau or PowerBI reporting solutions
• 5+ years of SAP BW/B4 on HANA experience including Standard, Custom extractions, Modeling, and Query design with strong emphasis in solutions for SAP ECC P2P, MM, PP, FI CO, SD, and HTR
• 5+ years of ABAP Development experience
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
• Naturally curious with a love of learning, and demonstrated application of new learning
• Experience in engaging stakeholders to identify opportunities and then leading requirements gathering workshops
• Experience developing business cases, project plans and financial justifications
• Experience leading and executing end to end complex assignments and projects within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters
• Experience working with offshore, near shore team members, leading cutover activities, data migration, testing, user training, and hyper-care support activities
• Strong ability to troubleshoot systems issues, complete complex reconciliations, and coordinate with process subject matter experts to resolve cross functional integration issues
• Strong relationship building skills and the ability to convey complex information appropriately to both technical and non-technical staff across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and analysts of all experience levels
• Understanding of SAP BW Security Modeling
• Bachelor's Degree in: Business, Information Technology, Mathematics; other discipline with minor in statistics, quantitative methods, or data science; or equivalent education and experience
