This role is in our modern Nashville Metro Center office, located just minutes from downtown with easy interstate access and free parking.

Primary Function

Under the direction of the Customer Engagement Solutions (CES) Director, you will be responsible for understanding critical business processes, managing project deliverables, and collaborating with a great team. This position is a unique opportunity to serve as a software solutions architect and SME focusing on SAP SD while being a highly visible face to our business stakeholders and technology team. You will have access to and influence senior leadership to help them understand existing opportunities and challenges and will create solutions to solve their business needs.

This role is eligible for a remote work schedule of up to two days remote work per week. New employees are eligible to apply after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead critical projects from start to finish including requirements gathering, solutioning, deployment, testing, training, change management, documentation, communication, and measuring business value
• Develop a deep understanding of A. O. Smith business processes and strategy through collaboration and regular engagement with key stakeholders and process owners
• Interface SAP with our external applications to improve systems usability and process efficiency
• Translate business process requirements to SAP configuration and document solutions
• Advise on the management of configuration and testing across the SAP environment

Role Specific Responsibilities

• SAP S4 HANA experience preferred
• 2 life cycle implementations of SAP S4 or ECC
• Expertise in leading design/blueprint workshops, SAP Configuration, Custom Development, Cutover Activities, Data Migration, Testing and User Training and hyper-care support experience
• Capability to lead or execute complex assignments and projects independently
• Strong relationship building skills, internally within IT and with business users
• Experience in conducting business requirements workshops including business process mapping as part of overall solutions design
• Ability to troubleshoot systems issues and to coordinate with other process experts to resolve integrated issues

Qualifications

• Overall (end to end) solutions design
• Expertise in SD-FI integrations (AR accounting, inventory accounting, intercompany processing) and SD-MM integrations (MM fields impacting SD)
• Experience in EDI set up and coordination with EDI partners is a plus
• Experience with portal (web) integration to SAP; BAPI experience is preferred
• Experience working with Vistex and Vertex is a plus
• Experience working with Salesforce and Enosix is a plus
• Ability to design interfaces between SAP and external systems (IDOC based, flat file based, XML based) preferred
