This role is located in our modern Nashville Metro Center office, located just minutes from downtown with easy interstate access and free parking.

Primary Function

A. O. Smith is looking for a driven individual to join our team and support the development and deployment of system solutions to optimize business processes. Reporting to the Supply Chain Solutions team and interfacing directly with our stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring the right business solutions are identified, developed, and deployed. You will execute against the supply chain roadmap that is aligned with the requirements of the business. This role will support process mapping of current and target state processes, participation in change management activities, engagement with business users and key stakeholders, and implementation of solutions to optimize business processes throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management and business users in the development of use cases for process and system improvements
  • Work with technical and business users to interpret data and identify potential process improvement opportunities
  • Develop and deploy automation projects to support optimized business processes
  • Create quick reference guides to accompany analyses and automation projects
  • Provide training on developed solutions to improve business adoption
  • Directly support the creation of target state process and technology roadmaps that align with long-term organizational strategic requirements 
  • Support strategic SCADA/IIOT initiatives
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and quality gates to track the progress of projects
  • Monitor and manage production support issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in IT, business or another related discipline is required
  • While 6 months or more of related work or internship experience is a plus, it is not required
  • A natural curiosity and love of learning
  • Knowledgeable of standard analytics components such as charts, graphs, tables
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to allow for effective collaboration with the business
  • Familiarity with SAP configuration is preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
