Primary Function
Analysts perform basic testing procedures on a variety of analytical instruments, assessing the outcomes of the analytical techniques and documenting the findings utilizing a system of laboratory reporting.
Responsibilities
Quality/Testing Responsibilities:
Determine the quality of the finished product, the capacity, gradation of the media, that it has been properly disinfected and is overall approved for sale
Check inbound COA’s for suitability of application
Continue the tracking system for the production of media
Determine the physical parameter of incoming raw water used in manufacturing daily
Make and supply hardness challenge water for hardness testing
Develop and maintain databases which track the history of production, In coming raw materials, quality assurance data, water usage, discharge water history , etc.
Answer production information questions to customers who call in or refer to the appropriate contact
Office Responsibilities:
Computer skills – Excel, Word, Access, etc.
Assisting with inventory and paperwork for shipping and receiving
Ordering parts/chemistry when necessary.
Assisting the Plant Manager/EHSS Manager on daily tasks
Any other Office/lab responsibilities associated with the job requirements.
Assist the EHSS in training production and maintenance employees
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required,
- Associates or Bachelors degree in related field, preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 6 months related work experience
- Chemistry, quality, lab, or statistical background experience, a plus
- Must have comfortability working in a lab setting, setting up equipment, testing, reporting, and recording results.
- Strong attention to detail and priority setting skills.
- Must be self-driven.
- Ability to decipher results.
- Strong problem solving/trouble shooting skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to generate reports.
- Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal
- Strong Collaboration and Teamwork
